What are the brainwave patterns during meditation?
In a wakeful state, the brain functions in beta level between 14–40 cycles per second. During meditation, particularly in Agna Meditation, the brain escalates between alpha 8–13 cycles per second and beta. Low beta to high alpha can be experienced during Agna. During Thuriya or Sahasrara meditation, the brain remains at Alpha frequency between 8–13 cycles per second. That stage is sometimes referred to as “Sleep with Dream State”. During Thuriyatheetha meditation, the highest level that is possible through Kundalini Meditation. You may experience Theeta frequency, deep sleep stage between 4–7 cycles per second. You may also experience Delta Frequency, Koma stage between 5–3 cycles per second.
